Am vergangenen Wochenende wurde in Spa-Francorchamps zum 29.Mal der geflügelte Begriff der lahmen Ente außer Kraft gesetzt. Über 50 Teams gingen erneut an den Start, um zu beweisen, dass der 2CV auch unter strengen Wettkampfbedingungen 24 Stunden lang bis ans Äusserste zu gehen in der Lage ist. Ausdauer und Schnelligkeit sind gefordert, um hier am Ende einer mehrmonatigen Rennsaison (gestartet im April mit der Trophée des Fagnes) eine Platzierung zu erzielen. Gleich beide ersten Plätze belegte dieses Jahr das BNLL Racing Team (Nr. 6 + 42, Dyane), auf Platz 3 folgte AG Racing Box mit 2CV (Nr. 55). Wie jedes Jahr konnten interessierte Besucher dieses Ereignis hautnah miterleben, nicht nur auf den Zuschauerrängen, sondern wie immer auch direkt in den Boxengassen und das ganz ohne Eintrittsgebühr. Auch das ans Rennen angeknüpfte Ententreffen direkt an der Rennstrecke erfreute sich einer hohen Teilnehmerzahl, die zum Teil bis aus Norwegen angereist waren (Fotos hierzu folgen).
Ready, set...go!
Last weekend in Spa-Francorchamps the popular saying of the lame duck was overridden for the 29th time. More than 50 teams started the race to prove that the 2CV has the ability to go to limits for 24 hours even under the extreme conditions of competitive races. Endurance and speed are requested to reach a good placing here, at the end of a racing season that lasted several months (start in April with Trophées des Fagnes). This year, both two top positions were taken by BNLL Racing Team (No. 6 + 42, Dyane), a 2CV of Team AG Racing Box (No. 55) followed on 3rd place. As usual, visitors could watch this event quite closely, not only from the spectators' seats, but also directly from within the pit lane, without even paying any entrance fee. Also the 2CV meeting, which is linked to the race and located directly at the race track, was very well attended, some participants even came the long way from Norway (photos of the meeting will follow).
